Israeli public diplomacy is failing, not because of a lack of enthusiastic speakers - but because of a lack of knowledge and understanding in Israel of western, liberal values and perception, and thus Israeli speakers often have a hard time building bridges. We believe that in order to comprehensively talk about the conflict, with its nuances and imperfections, it is not enough to speak English - we need to speak liberal.

In this workshop, we'll present a liberal strategy for public diplomacy: from the basics of the progressive ideology and how it views the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; through presenting the five principles for "Speaking Liberal"; to common critics of Israel - and the appropriate liberal response to them.
